Ordinary/Life Membership
Former students of SJI who have studied there for at least a year are eligible for Ordinary/Life Membership.

Following a constitutional Amendment at the 2010 AGM which introduced annual subscription fee and Life Membership, the OBA would like to inform members that the annual subscription fee for Ordinary Members beginning 2011 is $50 per year for 10 years, in addition to the one-time membership fee of $50 payable by Ordinary Members. Following payment of 10 consecutive annual subscription fees, Ordinary Members shall be automatically converted to Life Members.

All persons eligible for Ordinary membership may become Life Members upon payment of a one-time Life Membership fee of $500. Persons 21 years and above but under 25 years of age may become Life Members upon payment of half the one-time Life Membership. Life Members need not make payment of any annual subscription fees.

Ordinary Members below 55 years of age may convert to Life Members at any time upon payment of a one-time conversion fee, which shall be the difference between the one-time Life Membership fee of $500 and the total of the one-time membership fee and annual subscription fee paid by the Ordinary Member.

Associate Membership
Old Boys now in secondary schools, centralized institutes, polytechnics and junior colleges are not eligible for Ordinary Membership. Instead, they are eligible for Associate Membership. Associate Membership may also be conferred by the Association to persons who wish to contribute to the furtherance of the objectives of the SJIOBA. A one-time membership fee of $20 is applicable.

Associate Members may convert to Ordinary Members by paying a conversion fee of $30, following which annual subscription fees will be payable. Associate Members may convert to Life Members upon payment of a one-time conversion fee of $480.

Retirees
Retiree members (persons 55 and above) may apply for Ordinary Membership with payment of a one-time membership fee of $25 and annual subscription fee of $25 per year. Following payment of 10 consecutive annual subscription fees, such retiree Ordinary Members shall be automatically converted to Life Members.

Retiree members, may become Life Members upon payment of half the one-time Life Membership fee, i.e. $250.

Ordinary Members who are retirees may apply to convert to Life Members if they have paid a total of the one-time membership fee and annual subscription fee equivalent to or exceeding half the one-time Life Membership fee (with such excess not being refundable) or where such total of the one-time membership fee and annual subscription fee is less than half the one-time Life Membership fee, upon payment of the difference as a one-time conversion fee.

If the Associate Member is a retiree, the member may convert to be a Life Member upon payment of a one-time conversion fee of $230.
