About the Event
SJI’s Lasallian ethos of being men and women for others fits resolutely into Singapore’s diverse interfaith landscape. So in commemoration of Racial & Religious Harmony Day this July, we are hosting a multi-tiered conversation exploring our Josephian commitment to the religious, racial, and cultural other as the essential Christian call to love our neighbour, which resonates also within many other faiths.
Focusing on the theme of religious diversity and community peace-building, inclusive of the intertwining angles of culture and race, this event draws both from a panel of speakers who are in various ways engaged with the work of interfaith harmony as well as from stories of diversity from the life experiences of audience members themselves, harnessing a vibrant communal exchange of perspectives.
