In the event of any question or matter arising out of any point which has not been expressly provided for in any of the rules governing this competition, the decision of the Organiser will be final. The rules and regulations as depicted above are current at the time of printing. The Organiser reserves the right to add, delete and/or vary the said rules and regulations at any time as it deems fit. Wet Weather In the event of wet weather before the tournament starts, participants are to continue to report at the respective venue, and wait for further instructions. A waiting period of about 45 minutes will be observed to ascertain if the tournament can proceed, or a washout declared. In the event of wet weather during the tournament, participants will assemble at the basement of the ISH. Matches will resume once lightning alert is lifted. If the tournament is truncated due to wet weather, in a worst case scenario, a single knock-out stage or a new format of play will decide the winner of the sport. Postponement and/or cancellation of the tournament will be informed at the venue by the Organising Committee. • For Mentors | SJIOBA

For Mentors A mentor is a friend who is willing to journey and share their experiences with you and to help you succeed. The mentor is there to encourage, guide and support their mentees in their growth and to help their mentees to achieve their personal and professional goals and dreams. It is not appropriate for the mentor to provide advice or guidance on their mentees personal relationships. Mentors should meet up with their mentees at least once a month. Such meetings can be by phone, email, face to face or other web base tools like Zoom. Mentors and their mentees should decide on the type of support and guidance required eg, career advice, seeking for a job, personal coaching, guidance on higher studies and etc. This would ensure a more focus, productive and fruitful mentor-mentee relationship. The mentor must agree to mentor and the mentee must agree to be mentored before the mentoring can commence. Mentoring periods can last between one to six months depending on the type of support and guidance that the mentee needs. In the event that the mentor needs to leave early please let your mentee know at least month in advance so that your mentee has enough time to find another mentor. Engaging in business or personal relationships with your mentees is strictly prohibited. Please keep your mentor-mentee relationship professional. If you have any concerns about your mentor-mentee relationship or if you feel that it is not working out please let your mentee know and contact the SJIOBA Secretariat immediately. We will do our best to assist and to resolve the matter. Register as a Mentor DOs and DON’Ts for Mentors DOs Be proactive - take the first step to initiate the mentor-mentee relationship. Have honest and open communication with your mentees and encourage a flow of ideas. Encourage creativity and help your mentees to develop their self worth. Be there for your mentees when they need you. If you are having a busy schedule, let your mentees know so that they will know when to contact you if they have to. Always listen to your mentees and encourage them to ask questions and to talk about their concerns. All information that is shared and discussed with you are to be kept Private and Confidential. If you need to discuss it with others, you should get your mentee’s concern first. DON'Ts Give advice on everything. Sometime your mentees just need someone to talk to. Criticize your mentees or put them down. Made your mentees dependent on you. Focus on your successes or failures or problems unless it is going to be helpful to your mentees current situation.
